Baldaran Spring JSC and Lidl Bulgaria partnership with a common goal

Nearly four years ago, Lidl Bulgaria put their trust in Baldaran Spring JSC to produce quality spring water for their own brand, “Saguaro,” as well as for their table water, “Voda.” This partnership not only continues to strengthen over time but also expands its scope by focusing on the development of green products.

One year has passed since the beginning of the acceptance of plastic bottles in the machines in front of some of the branches of Lidl Bulgaria. The total collected amount over this period is the impressive 300 tons of recycled material. The bottles of spring water “Saguaro,” produced by Baldaran Spring JSC, recently started to contain 30% recycled material. Baldaran Spring JSC is the first company in Bulgaria that, together with Lidl, launched a bottle with 30% recycled content. Both companies set a common goal – to increase the percentage of recycled material in products.

Lidl Bulgaria started its partnership with Baldaran Spring JSC during the Covid pandemic, which helped Baldaran to realize serious growth in sales in recent years. For the last year, the company records 85 million liters of bottled water sold on the Bulgarian market. “This result ranks us 3rd in Bulgaria in terms of volume among other water bottling companies,” said Tanya Stoimenova, executive director of the company.
